Individual Therapy
Space to understand yourself more clearly.
Individual therapy offers a place to slow down, look honestly at what's been difficult, and start making sense of patterns that may have been with you for a long time.
What brings people to individual therapy
People come to therapy for many different reasons. Some are dealing with anxiety, depression, or stress that has become hard to manage on their own. Others are navigating a significant life transition — a career change, a relationship ending, a move, or a loss. Some are trying to understand why they keep repeating the same patterns in relationships, even when they know better.
Whatever brings you in, individual therapy gives you dedicated time and space to explore what's actually going on — not just the surface-level symptoms, but the underlying experiences and patterns that may be driving them.
How I work
My approach to individual therapy is relational and attachment-based. I'm interested in how your early experiences — with family, culture, and relationships — have shaped the way you see yourself and connect with others today. Understanding these patterns tends to lead to more lasting change than focusing on symptoms alone.
I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS-informed), and EMDR, depending on what's most useful for you. I tailor my approach to your specific needs, goals, and background — including your cultural context.
My style is warm and direct. I'll ask questions, share observations, and gently challenge patterns when it seems useful — while always following your lead on pace and direction.
